Investing our energy

We become what we choose to invest our energy in.

We can’t expect anything positive to come out of continuously choosing to engage in negative conversations and content.

We can’t expect to gain knowledge and wisdom if we don’t first embrace the learning process.

We can’t move forward into the future if we are too busy looking back living in the past.

We can’t be at our best if we only ever think the worst.

I have had to learn this over the years, trying to hold myself accountable and understand that the

choices I make daily contribute to my outcomes at the end of every day.

I can’t blame anyone else because the responsibility falls solely on me to learn to adapt according to my experiences and environment.

I need to know when to take a step back from a bad situation, when to bite my tongue, when to gently explain to someone how their actions or words have a negative impact on me, and when to switch off my digital devices to enjoy the much simpler life offline.

I have become so much more aware of how my own boundaries, choices and environments can affect me.

I have started actively making more of an effort to follow what feels right and amend my habits to serve me better.

I strongly encourage others to do the same as it can be one of the most liberating experiences.

When we become aware of how our own actions contribute to our goals and the end result, we then have the power to review and alter our approach accordingly regardless of what is going on around us.

We become unstoppable because we are accountable to ourselves and don’t rely on the world beyond

to determine our life’s layout.

It all comes back to us and the choices we make to honour and support the life we want to live and

the individuals we want to be.

As long as our actions are consistent with the words we use and the mindset we have, we can expect to achieve some pretty amazing things in our time and inspire future generations to do the same.

you can” – anonymous.
